About the Project

Buy Legal Meds is a leading e-commerce brand that required a strategic transition from a legacy WordPress/WooCommerce setup to a modern Shopify infrastructure. As the Shopify Migration Specialist for this project, I was commissioned to lead the end-to-end development of the new storefront and the complex transfer of all business-critical data. Consequently, the primary objective was to modernize the shopping experience while ensuring 100% data integrity for thousands of customers and orders.

The Technical Strategy: Migration & Stability

Transferring an established brand requires a disciplined approach to backend architecture. First and foremost, I performed a comprehensive audit of the existing WooCommerce database to map out custom product attributes and customer histories. In addition to the architectural setup, the project required a robust redirection strategy to ensure that existing search engine rankings remained intact during the platform shift.

2. Custom Shopify Development

Moreover, I developed the new Shopify storefront from the ground up to reflect the brand’s identity while optimizing for mobile performance. Specifically, I utilized Shopify’s OS 2.0 framework to create modular sections that allow the administrative team to update their marketing banners easily.
